The privately owned world famous fishing village of Clovelly is about 2 miles away. With its steep cobbled streets, quaint cottages, pretty harbour and pubs, this place should not be missed.

Nearby is Hartland Quay which has magnificent views and is ideal for enjoying some of the stunning North Devon coastal path.

Hartland Abbey is also worth a visit as is RHS Garden Rosemoor.

The unique Tarka Trail is perfect for cycling and walking for the whole family as it is traffic free.

Slade Farm is the ideal base for a trip to Lundy Island either by boat or helicopter, to see the abundant bird, wildlife and plant species it has to offer.

Local attractions include The Milky Way (within walking distance) and The Big Sheep which are a great day out whatever the weather.

The sandy beaches of Bude (Cornwall) and Westward Ho! provide the perfect ‘seaside’ holiday feel, exploring rock pools or trying your luck with the surf. The picturesque towns and villages in the area are delightful to wander around and with the plentiful cafes you can enjoy a relaxing coffee or a bite to eat.

With so many excellent restaurants and pubs to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice and is good opportunity to sample some of the superb local produce that this area has to offer.
